The Connect to Coach: The Colleague to Colleague Coaching Programme uses traditional coaching principles and techniques.
Using The ‘PARA’graph Coaching Model, Black Teachers of English will be empowered to share, celebrate and enhance their professional practice. What makes this Coaching Programme unique is that it teaches how to coach each other through the challenges and joys of teaching English as a Black professional.
Here’s how our coaching sessions would take shape:

A - Actions Then: Think about your past actions/behaviour/perception
R - Reflexivity and Reflection: Others’ perceptions vs. Your perception
A - Actions Now: Think about your future actions/steps/timeline
Academic Coaching
Academic writing, reading and study skills for Adults/Mature learners/Learners who have been out of education for 10 years+.
Academic transition and planning
Navigating moving from KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) to preparing for GCSE English Language and Literature study.
Preparing students for the leap between GCSE and KS5 study, including study skills, critical reading and writing skills.
Coaching KS5 English Literature and English Language students to be ready for university seminars, online learning, reading academic papers and thriving in lectures.
